Sushi Hurray is officially my new favorite sushi joint! There are a few other good ones that I like, but I'm picky about my sushi. When it comes to freshness, variety, taste, and cost, this place checks all the boxes for me. It was so good, my friend and I also ordered a few items to go and had them for dinner later (of course it wasn't as good since we had to refrigerate it). Fresh off the belt, everything was the prefect temperature, texture, and bursting with flavor! I can't recommend this place enough if you're looking for a sit-down sushi meal. Our favorite was the Red Devil Roll! Just keep in mind that no matter how good the sushi is, takeout sushi doesn't always meet the mark by the time it gets home, even if you don't refrigerate it and eat it later like we did.
VERY GOOD AND VERY CLEAN! Awesome happy hour AND they have fountain drinks (and To-go boxes)
The sushi was better than expected, more fresh compared to Kura on the east coast. But there was not much variety, mostly salmon and tuna, and imitation crab. I would guess special orders are possible, but no one offered so not sure how to do that. The tea was hot and good. Service was fast and efficient, atmosphere is hip and modern, small room so not great for big parties. We had 6, that’s max for a booth I would say. Overall nice experience, more variety in fish would be better! Flavor was ok, but not the best sushi of course compared to a formal Japanese restaurant.
Sushi Hurray in West Linn left me with mixed feelings. Despite a 25-minute pickup estimate, we arrived after 40 minutes, hoping to cut some slack. However, we were overlooked for an additional 10 minutes. When addressed, a staff member informed us of a further 20-minute delay, causing inconvenience. The portions were disappointingly small, but the redeeming factor was the quality of the food. Overall, a frustrating experience earning it 3/5 stars.
