Hook Reel Cajun Seafood - West Orange

So delicious! First seafood boil and I am hooked. The shrimp, crawfish. And snow crab was delicious and the hook and reel spice mix was superb on the seafood. The potatoes and corn inside the bag were not overcooked and were very tasty. The coppa pistachio (pistachio Gelato with candied pistachios and chocolate syrup) was creamy and the perfect end to the meal. My waitress was so sweet and friendly, it was nice to chat a bit. Very relaxed atmosphere and great jams overhead. Such a great spot and can't wait to visit again!

All my other food was great as usual but?.. the paella rice I ordered should be called squid rice. As you can see no seafood except squid not cool to call it paella and it?s clearly not! I want my money back!

This is my first time getting food from this restaurant. The food was delicious. The cajun fries were nice and crispy and not too potatoey. The crab was tasty and flavorful.

I can't say enough good things about the food and service here. The waitress was so personable and attentive! The Hook punch (picture included in review) was soooo good! OMG and the Hook and Reel Signature seasoning is a mix of all the seasonings they offer and it was highly recommended by the waitress and did not disappoint! The pricing is appropriate and the value was good as well. So glad to have come here after having a terrible experience at another restaurant earlier that same day. Can't wait to go back here in the very near future!!!

Food was great! Had it delivered, so maybe not the ideal situation or the way it was intended to be served. We ordered hush puppies, seafood rice, a fried fish basket with sweet potato fries, and an order of scallops in garlic butter. The seafood rice was a bit too greasy, but I guess that makes it extra yummy and I would order a different sauce with the scallops. Again, it was all very good, but not necessarily over-the-top amazing.
