Wyatt's Plant Centre - West Oxfordshire

We stumbled upon Wyatt's by chance, as we had a flat tire just 100 meters away and it was the nearest place to stop. We decided to have lunch at the tea room and ended up spending a couple of hours there while waiting for roadside assistance. The tea room had a lovely view of the countryside and the food was delicious. We started with tea service, enjoyed a fantastic soup, and shared some chips. After lunch, we browsed the gift shop, made a few purchases, and explored the greenhouses. The staff were all very friendly during our unexpected visit. We admired the flowers and the scenic countryside views. Overall, we couldn't have asked for a better place to spend a few hours stuck on the road.

We drove from Derbyshire to Chipping Norton for a few days in the Cotswolds and were in need of a quick snack, a cup of tea, and a bathroom break. Although I knew where the plant center was from passing by in my work van, I had never been inside before. The gift shop was fantastic, with a variety of gift ideas and local produce and food items. The restrooms were clean and well-maintained. Unfortunately, they were out of scones, but we enjoyed a delicious slice of cake and coffee/hot chocolate. The staff was friendly and attentive, the views were beautiful, and the break was much appreciated. The plants and nursery area were enjoyable to browse, and we would visit regularly if we lived nearby. My wife almost purchased a few plants, but the suitcases in the car were a bit cumbersome, so I persuaded her not to. Overall, it's definitely worth a visit, and we would happily return if we are in the area again.

The sandwiches at this restaurant were disappointing. They were made with basic sliced bread, very thinly sliced rubbery and tasteless cheese, and a chili-flavored chutney that may not appeal to everyone. The side salad consisted of two lettuce leaves, half a tomato, two slices of cucumber, and a small portion of coleslaw. I have visited this place many times in the past, but I do not plan on returning anytime soon.

Took a detour to stop off here for cream tea but at 3pm told they don't have any scones, yet so many signs around advertising cream tea this way.

Lovely cream tea. Delicious and helpful friendly staff. Felt like a happy team. Will definitely return.
