Cafe Saligna - WEST PENNANT HILLS

We ordered 2 soft drinks and had to get them ourselves from the drinks fridge. We waited a long time for 2 apple slices from the dessert cabinet. We were given only a tiny teaspoon to eat them with, and the cream on the plate looked old and unappetizing. The woman who took our order seemed to have an attitude about only ordering dessert. The apple slices were mediocre at best. If this is the level of service, why would anyone stay for a main meal?

We will be back. We went with friends and everyone enjoyed their meal. Prices were reasonable and the staff were friendly.

A couple of minor grumbles food could have been hotter it started out hot but wasn't hot when it arrived chips get cold quickly in the wire baskets. Excdellent quality produce and delightful staff. It was warm and cmfortable inside on a cool day.

II enjoyed my Saturday morning with my better half at Cafe Saligna. Nice environment, nice people, nice food.

We are in our 11th year of our Saturday get togethers., usually 8 to 10 of us. We absolutely love Saligna, as simple as that ! We read some negative so called reviews . They can not be true . So inaccurate. I guess the proof of the pudding, so to speak, is in the eating. The food is really first class. Prices certainly reasonable. Servings are very generous. If you have a sweet tooth, the cakes and deserts are truly marvellous. To say the staff are rude , per a few reviews , to be honest, this is so faroff the mark, so wrong. The young wait staff are lovely, quietly efficient. The expanded outdoor area is first class., lounges under large umbrellas, in this relaxed bushland setting. So good to see Saligna near full most Saturdays when we are there. Has become the IN place for casual dining and coffee. Try a lovely bush walk along the trails, after eating.. so peaceful, relaxing.
