Effie's Takeaway - WEST WODONGA

The chicken Souvlaki at this restaurant is the best I've had outside of Greece! The fries are also delicious.

The food at this restaurant is absolutely incredible, and the staff is equally amazing!

I stumbled upon a hidden gem on my drive back from Sydney - Effie's in Wodonga. Despite my reservations about typical highway food, a quick search on Google led me to this spot. I ordered a basic burger and a side of chips, and was pleasantly surprised by how delicious they were. The generous portion of chips was hot, crispy, and fluffy on the inside, cooked perfectly. The burger exceeded my expectations and was far superior to fast food chains like McDonald's. While the atmosphere was nothing special, it was still a great meal to fuel me for the three-hour drive back to Melbourne. I can't wait to stop by Effie's again on my next trip to Sydney.

Hands down best takeaway in Wodonga. Effie and co. are always super friendly and constantly smiling. Food always cooked to order and made to absolute perfection. Having done much travelling in my time I can safely say Effie's is and always will be the home of my favourite souvlaki Australia wide

Delivery driver very friendly. Food hot tasty and fresh. We will be back. I havnt been into the shop but am told it is a welcoming shop
