Carey Tavern - Westfield

Having recently moved to Westfield, I decided to try some of the more local restaurants in the city. I stopped by Carey Tavern for lunch and tried her lunch special, that was a steak queen. The food was substantial and pretty good. The price wasn't too terrible either. I've been trying a few other things since this visit. I wasn't so impressed with her regular menu. It consists of a lot of fried food options. The ambience is a little dry, but the staff is friendly. Overall, it seems like a pretty typical bar, but I would probably return for another good lunch special.

We stopped by after a basketball game to enjoy some vodka blenders and fried cheese cubes. The karaoke was lively and entertaining. Our server, Tina, was fantastic and made our experience even better. We'll definitely be back!

The food was fantastic! The chicken strips were homemade, not frozen. I would have rated it five stars, but our regular waitress was not very attentive. However, another waitress stepped in and helped us much more. It seemed like our waitress spent quite a bit of time chatting with other customers, particularly the men.

I had my first lunch at Carey Tavern, and I had heard great things about it, especially the pig-talloin sandwich, which lived up to the hype! The food was fresh, arrived quickly, and was served hot, even at 1:00 PM. The staff were friendly, and our drinks were refilled promptly. Overall, a fantastic experience!
