Westmead Tavern is a pretty great local place to go for some drinks and a chat.

I have mixed feelings about this pub. On one hand, the layout is pretty cool and you can access it by walking across a walkway from a small shopping center. However, it has a dingy appearance and seems more geared towards locals rather than out-of-towners like myself. The service was just okay and I didn't feel very comfortable here. The outdoor area on the roof of the shopping center is nice, but once you go inside, it's the same old dodgy pub experience. Even if you live in the area, there are better places in nearby Parramatta to visit than spending time here (unless you enjoy the rooftop deck).

Westmead Tavern is a fantastic local spot for drinks and conversation. Their outdoor seating area is adorned with fairy lights, creating a sophisticated and relaxing atmosphere at night. The $3 beers are a great deal, and there are pool tables available for those interested. They serve pub food such as burgers and fries, as well as dinner options. After 5pm, the tavern is bustling with tired but content people looking to unwind after work. On weekends, a slightly fancier crowd comes to dine under the stars, making for a delightful experience every time.
