Long Phung Bakery - Westminster

Random plant store that sells some of the best cakes! Tucked away in a shopping plaza at the corner of Westminster and Magnolia.I originally came looking for a specific plant and found that they sold some desserts and delicious cakes! Layered with a soft, chiffon base, whipped cream and a layer of crispy pastry topped off with more whipped cream and fresh fruit! So easy to eat and not too sweet at all. Probably my favorite cake ever. A half sheet cake costs $45. The price has gone up, but so have most things these days. If you can splurge the $45 I would highly recommend. You can leave looking forward to some delicious cake and knowing you supported a small business as well :

Besides the cake, the banh chung is bombdiggity Still reliable and delishhh even though the price has gone up.Price/ Quality It was $40-43 for the quarter sheet fruit cake on 10/2/22. You can still call in the day of and they have fruit cakes ready to go. Mine came with a little more ripe, sweet mango rather than canned tangerines, so that's a bit more worth.These stars are also for another product that's not as known here: banh chung! (Vietnamese sticky rice cake filled with mung bean pork belly)It is smaller, but it's cute and yummy it's like a 3 inch cube. Couple bites. It was $3/, but it's got a good ratio of sticky rice, mung beans, and pork. Some mung beans aren't fully mashed, but that's ok cuz they provide more texture! The pork isn't dry and overall is very tasty!This is the type of place where the birthday person not only gets a wonderful cake, but an awesome banh chung too.

More than a cake. It 's delicate, crispy and fruity. Yet, not overly sweet. As close to guilt free as you can get because it 's covered with fresh fruit and not weighed down with frosting (they use whipped cream). Great for any occasion. You won 't be disappointed.

Wonderful little bakery that was very friendly and helpful upon walking in. They have good looking and tarty fruit cakes.
