First time here Happy with the service and atmosphere Recommended to book before hand as it gets really busy.
I watched this place getting constructed curiously wondering what was to become and in a matter of a few short weeks Grano has become an institution in
Didn't get to eat the food, couldnt even get a glass of water. 20 minutes of being ignored by staff who were putting glasses and cuttlery on every other table but would not even make eye contact with us.Would hate to think what service is like when its busy or during a function.
I booked for a family lunch on Monday. Upon arrival we were advised that they do not have pizzas on Mondays. ( this was not mentioned at the time of booking or on the website). What ,an Italian restaurant with no pizza. Not a good start to the experience at this place. I ordered lasagna di mama. When the meal arrived it was presented as if it had just been shovelled out onto the plate. I could not determine if this was in fact lasagna as the pasta had been all mixed up with the meat and sauce. There was no evidence of there being any sheets of lasagna layered with meat/sauce. Someone in the kitchen obviously didn't get the memo about what constitutes lasagna. In addition when I tasted the lasagna it was luke warm. The appearance was as if someone had just reheated last nights leftovers. This an insult to every Italian mama.Perhaps, like the pizza, mama doesn't work in the kitchen on Mondays. The service was okay, nothing outstanding.Even drinks such as soft drink and mineral water was overpriced.I wont be going back to Grano.
