Huddle House - WETUMPKA

The order was fine, but everything else was a disaster. We arrived at 9:45 with a party of eight and asked what time they closed. The lady said midnight, so we decided to stay. It took 15 minutes to get a drink, and another 15 minutes to get our drinks. Then she informed us they were actually closing at 10:00. She had to scratch our order on an old entrance and then disappeared for a while to argue with the chefs in the kitchen. Private things were almost shouted through the whole restaurant. My wife had to go to the kitchen to get all the food because the waitress was nowhere to be found. Three orders of chocolate milk? One child ordered sweet tea, but it was so bad that we discovered they had run out and substituted honey in regular tea. It was a random dining experience, but overall the food was okay. However, I will not be returning to this restaurant next time I am in Wetumpka.

We went for lunch and ordered from the breakfast menu. The breakfast items came, 1 order was 2 eggs, hash browns, biscuit gravy, grits, sausage, milk, the other was a bacon bowl w eggs, gravy, bacon biscuits and gravy, milk. Both were very good and the meal with tax was less than $25. We will be back.That morning the restaurant had a very large crowd 2 buses with 35 teens plus adults just showed up with no advance notice. The manager and server were very nice and apologized for our wait.Any large group regardless of how many or which restaurant, always call at least a day in advance and reserve so they can prepare. Adults in charge should have known better. Very inconsiderate. The staff at this Huddle House deserve 10 stars for doing their best under such circumstances.

It's probably a good place when they have good management and don't have staffing problems. The manager seated served us, which we clearly were a bother to her getting her chores done. The menu seemed like a good value, our experience wasn't pleasant, but we might try it again in 6 months to a year.

Headed to Pcb for bike week and I suggested we stop here instead of our usual spot (waffle House). It was nice and clean but I didn't get to eat because the waitress forgot to put my order in. She was nice about it and made it to go for free but who can eat on the back of a motorcycle?!

No rush they took our orders brought it out when it was done my son spilled his hot chocolate they moved us to a different table so we could finish eating very polite about it some of the nicest places we have been to in a long time.
