The Black Dog - Weymouth and Portland

I last went into the Black Dog 16 years ago when I moved to Weymouth. It was not very nice and today went in with my husband on the off chance it might have improved. We loved it and ended up staying for 2 hours. The whole place looks lovely , re-vamped, cozy and the menu looks great too so we sill be back for food ASAP.

I just wanted to have a casual drink on a Friday afternoon and ended up staying at the Black Dog for more than one. It's a great little pub that I haven't been to in 20 years. I will definitely be back in the future. I noticed in some negative reviews that people had issues with dogs and children being present. If you have poorly behaved dogs or children, it's probably best not to visit.

We return to this pub at least twice a year when we down that way, it’s a great pub with great staff and a great pint served, see you soon guys.

Excellent, friendly and helpful service . With a good range of tasty pub grub. Highly recommended. We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch here.

I have frequented this pub multiple times in the past and the food has always been good. However, today's visit was very disappointing. The food was not nearly as enjoyable as it had been before and the bar staff seemed unhappy. The prices for the food were too high, leading to an overall unpleasant experience today.
