Arrowhead Golf Club - Wheaton

Outstanding staff, welcoming atmosphere, and amazing food!

I'm sorry to say this, but I have tried several of their dishes and NONE OF THEM WERE ANY GOOD. Food is really bad here.

I have worked with Arrowhead for company events and have had a great experience, so naturally I recommended the club to my husband to try for Golfing. While they were out golfing, they were held up by an older family so naturally it took them a little longer to tee off. Multiple times employees came up to them (my husband) telling them to hurry it up and they explained that they were being held up by the people in front of them. Even after explaining to the staff they were being held up, they continued to come up to them and tell them they needed to hurry up they were holding others behind . I called the shop after my husband spoke with the desk about it and they transferred me to their manager. While he explained that that behavior isn 't allowed and he needed to speak with the staff before anything could be done. Unfortunately we decided we will not return to the Golf Club.

Course is well kept. Some greens to next tee are a bit of a walk.

It would have been better if they had informed me about the course condition when I called to book a same-day tee time, when we checked in, or at least if the starter had mentioned anything. Instead, we were charged the full rate, which was only $10 less due to the fall season, making us feel like we were being taken advantage of. The course layout is also quite basic, with back-and-forth holes that made it feel like we were playing the same hole repeatedly. This created a lot of congestion and resulted in slow play. On the positive side, the course itself is beautiful, with lovely hills and trees, but overall it was quite forgettable. For a fall rate of $77, it certainly doesn't meet expectations, and the unplayable back nine really diminished our experience. I don’t think I would choose to play here again.
