Vagabond Kitchen - Wheeling

The restaurant was somewhat busy, but not extreme, because it was several open tables and 4-5 servers (approx. 530 pm). We waited 10 minutes before sitting. Beverages and appetizers were served and then there was a HOUR waiting on our food. I felt a bit ridiculous, especially when we only ordered a salad and a steak, not complicated dishes. I noticed that others who sit later than we brought their food pretty fast. Not sure what happened there, but after reading reviews, I see that this seems to be a ongoing problem. The food was good, but waiting too long, so they only got 3 stars. the prices were average and the menu had a different flair that I liked because I enjoy trying new things, but unfortunately I do not feel that we will return because the wait was completely too long and the noise level was a little above the top, My husband had a very hard time to hear me, which also increases our frustration.

We had a very pleasant experience. Our server was personal and very helpful. Hangover Burger was here!

This was our first visit to this restaurant on the recommendation of a friend. The service was very good, we were seated immediately. The food was excellent! We had burgers that sure tasted fresh and not frozen! Excellent char on the outside of the burger. The dessert was so-so a halfheartedly warmed up cookie with ice cream. It was a little too noisy for us, it's all cinder block walls, windows and nothing on the walls or ceiling to soften the noise. All in all, we will go back. Great food, just a bit noisy.
