Wendy's - Whitby

We stopped here on the Holiday Monday of the July 1st weekend. It is really close to the 401 so it is easy to get on and off the highway at this point as there are no Encore Service Centers in this area of the 401.Since it was lunch time and a long weekend, I was surprised that there was a very short line at Wendy's. I took advantage of the 99 cent Frosty and the Junior Bacon Cheesburger. This makes for a very reasonably priced lunch. The washroom also did not have a lineup either! The restaurant also has a Tim Horton's if you have people in your party that prefer that restaurant. I would recommend this place as a good place for a quick stop when in the Oshawa/Whitby area.

Picked up some take-out on a drive north to Algonquin. The kiddioes approved! Bring napkins. And get the lemonade; a bit sweet but yummy!

Ordered the Mediterranean chicken salad. Waited 20 min then had to take it back twice for forgotten toppings. I noticed others getting impatient as fries put out while hamburger not arriving for another ten minutes. One couple ordered the chicken nuggets and wanted over 15 minutes and then had to come back because it was missing a nugget. Staff seemed uncaring and moved very slow. You. I think management needs to look into this. I know they get travelers stopping in but there are many locals like myself who like Wendy's.

No surprises here. We came, we ate and we were on our way. Accessible and no nonsense. Busy place. Timmies in the same place. Burgers and fries, soda and water. No frills.

Great sides and the portions were large. Tasty fast food I had in Canada. The hamburgers were tasty and their baked potato.
