Diner On 274 - White Haven

DO NOT EAT HERE! Went here on 1/6/19. It's a truck stop, so we didn't expect much but went anyway, sign on the door says closing soon will open soon as IHOP. I regrettably still went in with my family in tow. Place was old(understand the remodel in process). Sat down placed our order for drinks. 2 coffees, 2 waters, 1chocolate milk. The glasses are so old they're yellow and dirty, my son added creamers to his coffee, said mom taste this. Yeah wasn't right,looked at the creamers, they expired in October of 2018! Took it to the waitress she apologized and replaced his coffee. My husband asked if the food was going to be fresh since they were closing in a few days and we had already had expired creamers and the waitress was mad. It was a legitimate question. Ordered our food. Prices are a bit high. $6 for a grilled cheese, $9.50 for a 6 inch chicken cheesesteak that was on a hot dog bun. Upon ordering the cheesesteak, which came with a side, I asked if I could sub hashbrowns for fries and was told yes so I did. Wait was quite a bit, food comes out looks ok. My son started to cut his French toast only to find a long black hair curled up in the powdered sugar. I of course get grossed out and throw it on the floor. Should've taken a picture but again, so gross. He was too hungry so he ate the French toast anyway. Bill comes and I'm charged $2 for hashbrowns. Ask the waitress and her reply is, yeah the computer doesn't let me give a breakfast side with a lunch order. Well I asked you that at the table and you replied yes! She wasn't going to remove the charge. Until I said again I had a side with mine that you said I can have the hashbrowns! So she not to happily removed the charge. So my suggestion would be to not even think about stopping here. Use this app find something that doesn't have such disregard for their customers.

Ive been stopping here for years.I deliver NYC daily out of wilkes Barre and this is the best place to stop.Plenty of parking and workers are excellent.Donna and the Pablo the cook are very cool,its nice to see a smile after a long day.

Dirtiest place I have ever seen. Sat down for all of 5 minutes and the table felt as if they let dirt and dust build up on it. Couldn't even make it to see their menu.
