Winchell's Donut House - Whittier

I absolutely love Winchell's! It has always been my go-to donut shop. They've been around forever, and their donut quality remains consistent even in this ever-changing world. The donuts are always fresh, their bagel sandwiches are delicious, and their coffee is probably the best I've had. Winchell's operates under the same standards across all locations, ensuring a consistent experience no matter where you visit.

Great selection! However, I noticed that some of the donuts tasted fresher than others. Were some of them a day old? I guess I'll never find out.

The quality of service at this restaurant varies depending on who's working. Contrary to what they claim, they are not open 24 hours. As for the smoothies, they taste like watered-down dog food and are quite disappointing. The sandwiches are generally decent, but the toppings often don't match well unless you specify exactly what you want on them. They tend to mix hot and cold sandwiches together, and their topping combinations can be inconsistent. For instance, they might put a spicy sauce on a sandwich that isn't supposed to be spicy.

Today I waited 25 min for 1 sandwich and the lady behind me only ordered 1 donut and it took her just as long as me just to get serviced. Do not recommend, staff was unorganized and unprofessional
