Shenstone Motor Inn - Wiarton

I have had the fish and Chips which is EXCELLENT. Very happy with other meals I have had also like Chicken burger and Fries, and chicken on a salad. I have gone to a number of restaurants in Owen Sound and this is much better. It is definitely worth stopping in for a meal and I am sure you will return again

Ate here for lunch; food was freshly prepared, delicious and service was quick and friendly. Good selection of vegan options. Kid friendly. Reasonable prices. Whole family of 4 ate for $80 including tip. Recommend the cauliflower bites, wings, beef burger, veggie burger and chicken tenders.

Shenstone is a very cool/mid-century modern hotel with THE BEST burgers in town. The hotel is very cozy and reminds of the one from Shitz Creek! Don't expect Shangri-la, just a really funky place, in a fantastic location and really great staff. Be nice to them! Service: 5

Let me start by saying our company never did need to book a room here, but with the service i received just inquiring i NEEDED to write a good review. I called this establishment at 6pm on a stormy winter day. They had more than enough room to accommodate the the 8 people i needed. Not knowing ETA of arrival didnt seem to be an issue at all. VERY accommodating. Even offered to keep their kitchen open past hours to ensure my workers were fed. If i ever need a place to stay in the area i will 100% book here.

Stayed recently thinking this motel was like it used to be. Sadly we were mistaken. Staff was respectful but the rooms were disgracefully below standards. Dead flies all over the step first off, on our way in. Ripped hanging screens, super thick dust on ceiling fan (wouldn't risk turning on). The yard had garbage in it, nothing is maintained for guests. The chairs were stained badly, The shower curtain/filthy, tub not draing during shower, No hand towels, No blow dryer, No micro as listed, No alarm clock, Funny smell in rooms, Smoke alarms didnt appear to be functional, Bedding did not look fresh, Heat not accessible unless you ask them to turn on. They make you give a $200 authorization, in case you go against their no animal/no smoking policy. Rooms can't get much worse so how does that apply?! It's a shame to have to post this. The owners are polite but do not have professionals cleaning their rooms and their is no preventative maintenence with all up to proper standards. Paying $110 a night on off season is aweful to charge for a room that isn't even worth $20 a night. The people commenting with more than one star on here (google) are people that the owners must know, because if you look on TripAdvisor, there isnt anything more than a 2 stars!
