District Taqueria - Wichita

District does a fantastic job serving some of the best tacos in Wichita. The food is always delicious and the wait staff is friendly, polite, and efficient. It's definitely one of my favorite spots in town. Great work, District!

The restaurant was a bit plain. They had a nice variety of draft and bottled Mexican beers and IPAs. We ordered the queso (which was a thick and possibly mayo-based), guacamole and salsa. The chips were good, likely homemade. The guacamole was tasty, but the salsa was just okay. I tried three tacos, all of which were mediocre. The meat was dry and the tacos were lukewarm. My companion ordered a bowl which was also dry. It was a chilly day outside and uncomfortably cold inside the restaurant, so we all kept our coats on during the meal.

Great food, tacos were amazing a little bit on the pricey side but they were so tasty. Chips and queso was also very good the queso is almost ?whipped? very different than any queso I?ve ever had before! Sat at the bar and service was very quick andfriendly!

The cheese sauce for the chips was not good at all. It was more like very thick cream cheese with no flavor. The crisp barbacoa tacos were flavorless with little meat in it. The 2 salsas included were ok..nothing special.

I went to this restaurant with a friend for drinks and food. I originally thought my only option would be chips and salsa, but I found out from a local vegan Facebook page that I could order the potato street tacos and falafel street tacos, which are both vegan and delicious. They are listed as vegetarian on the menu. There is also a mushroom taco labeled as vegetarian, which could be made vegan by omitting the aioli. I had the two street tacos, chips and salsa, and a margarita, and left feeling full and satisfied. I confirmed with the waitress that the tacos were free of dairy products, and she reassured me. I think they should label the tacos as vegan instead of vegetarian, and I believe they could offer more vegetarian options as well.
