Egg Crate Cafe - Wichita

We found the food to be excellent as well as the service. We ordered off the breakfast menu and the pancakes were huge and delicious! Would definitely go again when we are in the area.

Had been out of town and stayed so we could eat breakfast at the Egg Crate. Not only was the breakfast exceptional but the company was outstanding. We are from Western Kansas and the hometown love was all over this place. If you are not family and friends when you come in, you will be when you leave. This beautiful family has brought small town to Wichita. Bernie and Karen, Elaine’s smiling on you my friends! Blessings to you today and every single day! WELL DONE!

Huge and good country fried steak breakfast and ham and eggs. Hash browns good too. Great waitress and service. Food came out fast and hot! Reasonable prices and decent coffee. We will definitely return!

Have now gone several times for breakfast, and the food is pretty tasty. I had the New York omelette, with fried potatoes and onions. The only thing I wished for, was a little more bacon in the omelette. My wife had eggs, patty sausage and pancakes, and everything was very good. Have no qualms about recommending it,

We went around 11:00 knowing that it would be busy and would have to wait. We surprisingly didn’t have to wait long to be seated. It took a while for our server to come to the table, which I accounted for it being busy. We were given our drinks and ample time to order for our family of four, two adults and two kids. Then, our waitress came to take our order and then had to come back because she “couldn’t read her handwriting.” My one son was supposed to get a choice of potato with his breakfast burritos, he didn’t. My other son got a side of gravy instead of a half order of biscuits and gravy. I ordered the ham steak meal which was supposed to come with a choice of egg and potato. I was charged for an extra egg and my hash browns didn’t come until after everyone was finished with their food. The food itself was mediocre at best. The pancakes we ordered on the side were soggy and not cooked well. It was almost impossible to get a refill on coffee as well. The service wasn’t much better, and I highly doubt we will eat here again.
