A Menu With A Twist Staff Are Friendly And Always Good Service
We celebrated a birthday in their private function room and had a wonderful evening. The staff members were very friendly and attentive. We forgot to bring candles for the birthday cake, and Angus kindly went out to buy some for us. The food they served was excellent, and there was more than enough to go around. I would highly recommend this venue for private events. We also returned for Sunday lunch, and the restaurant was bustling. The food was delightful.
When our friends finally arrived, we were promptly shown to our table and given plenty of time to peruse the menu—though to be fair, that was mostly our fault; after 20 years apart, two women had a lot of catching up to do! I opted for the Cumberland sausage and mash, which looked absolutely delicious. Two of us ordered the fish and chips, but I must say, the fish was massive—more like a whale and chips! The portion of chips was equally generous. I chose succulent scampi for my main, and we capped off our meal with a crumble that my friend declared delightful. We also indulged in two generously sized ice creams, while I stuck to my usual choice: a cheese board featuring three types of cheese, crackers, butter, chutney, celery, and grapes. To finish, we enjoyed some very well-brewed coffee. Overall, it was a fantastic meal at what I consider a very reasonable price—though some might argue it's a bit on the higher side. I can only say that the food was excellent, the service was outstanding, and the decor was appealing. I truly loved this place, and I can’t wait to return!
The decor was beautiful and tastefully done. The food was outstanding, with generous portion sizes. The staff was friendly and helpful, and we are definitely planning to return.
