Sussmund Kaffeebar - Wien

The barista was more akin to a sommelier of coffee: he explained various roasts, coffee profiles, etc. Not only knowledgable, but a very cool guy. The bright space provides a needed rest from the classical coffee houses, full of tourists and classical stuff. A leading...European furniture maker furnishes the space as a mobile showroom and the tables, chairs, and other furnishings are very beautiful, practical, comfortable. Definitely a place to seek out.

Dropped in twice while in Vienna for a few days. They take great care in sourcing beans and preparing the drinks. The grind, temperature, volume all measured with precision. A real pleasure to find a kaffeebar that pays attention to the details. Makes all the...difference.

Lovely clean, scandinavian-feel, great coffee and fresh home-made cakes, and...new yorker and metropol (my new favourite) magazines to peruse while you sip your lovely coffee.

If you like proper coffee then go here. Very good space and service. Filter coffee excellent, plus good choices.

If you are a fussy coffee drinker, don't bother with any other coffee places in Vienna. These guys make great coffee and offer two different types of beans Brazilian or Ethiopian. I prefer the Brazilian. Went here a couple of times in our short...four day trip. Highly recommend.
