M&m Old Hickory Smokehouse Bbq

The finest BBQ joint in the SE! The brisket and sides are beautifully prepared and delicious. The sausage links are the best I've had in years. Every time we drive North or South on I-75 from now on, M&M is where we are getting our meal.

Not the kind of BBQ I like. We tried the chicken and pulled pork.The pulled pork here is comes drenched in sauce, you cannot even taste the meat. I believe that if smoked meat comes sauced it’s because you’re hiding something, whether that it’s dry meat you’re trying to rehydrate or trying to add flavor from not smoking long enough. At $17 for pork and two sides, I expected more by way of quality. The chicken tasted good, but didn’t taste smoked at all. Maybe it’s not supposed to be smoke chicken and I am assuming here but it was a light brown/gold color not bronze like smoked chicken should be. It almost seem like it was propane grilled. It was also lacking that faint smoke ring chicken gets.Positives, the staff is very friendly. The sides were very hot and fresh to order. They were still too hot to eat after a 10 minute drive which is great since everyone hates cold food when they get home. I wouldn’t recommend dining here as there is no shade or working fans. The tables are out in the Sun. I wouldn’t return but some people like pre sauced meat.

I decided to stop here with my partner while his truck was being serviced at the I-75 chrome shop, and what a great decision that was! Literally the best food I've had in years! I ordered the beef brisket with Collard Greens and Beans and it was spot on! The greens were perfect with just a touch of red pepper flake and the beans we're sweet and savory! The brisket was the star of the show, no fat, just all meat! Very nicely smoked and so much flavor! Sauces were also amazing, I very much recommend the southern gold. As far as the staff everyone was very polite and they provided great service. I honestly couldn't have had a better experience. I highly highly recommend this place!Parking: Room for a few semi truck and plenty of cars

The pulled pork was so good, it didn't need sauce. The potato salad was excellent! Huge portions here! Sweet Tea was great! Make sure you drink it before the ice melts! Off Exit 329 near Ocala in Wildwood,Florida. Highly recommended! NOTE: The bathrooms across from their location were large and spacious! You gotta stop here!

My wife and I were passing through and we happened to catch a billboard of this place and we stopped. I am truly glad we did. We got our food in less 5mins of waiting and was greeted with a smile and friendly service. It was so good I invited my mother, aunt and uncle and their guest to come have lunch as well. I have had bbq from all over the country and M&M is by far.. the best I ever had. Go getcha some.
