Tasty food with good size portions. Excellent service with smile. Great views. Friendly staff including interaction with our 1 year old. Everything very clean including toilet. Decor fresh but dated. Recommend to anyone. Great coffee as well so good I had to have 2.

Such a shame Angelo and Maria have gone after so long in this business. Its just not the same anymore. The coffee is very average and luke warm. We had breakfast so eggs on sourdough with tomato and spinach. The sourdough was really dry and hard and the eggs over cooked.Total bill $38 so all up overpriced and disappointing in quality. One of the owners dressed in high biz work ware looked very out of place...maybe should wear this gear working on the roads. Such a shame as the setting on the waterfront is wonderful.

Wouldn't know your in Melbourne for the view - spectacular!! Shouldn't have chips for breaky but most be some of the best in Australia! Great coffee too!!

If you want a REAL cup of coffee when you order a flat white instead of a cup of milk with coffee beans waved over the top - then go West Eighty One! We went to Williamstown for lunch on Sunday but could not get a park so we drove on to 81 the esplanade. We spotted the "under new management" sign and decided to give it a try. Instead of lunch however, we spotted the very tempting cakes and we had coffee and cake which was very naughty. I had apple crumble and hubby had chocolate volcano which were both delicious. Meanwhile we were watching the food being brought out to other customers. Regretfully, we are not big eaters so couldn't eat any more but we will be back because the meals looked great. The staff were friendly and welcoming. We walked out of the cafe feeling so happy to have had a nice lunch experience. Good luck Adam and Mario.

Kids loved choosing an ice cream. Good to have an indoor cafe near the beach for when the cold southerly strikes. Have been in a few times and always found the service very friendly and accommodating.
