Jen's Guesthouse - Willow Springs

This is the second consecutive year that my employer chose this location for our Christmas party, and unfortunately, the food was once again disappointing. Last year, I ordered the filet mignon, which was gray in color, lacked grill marks, and was almost too rare—yet somehow it was devoid of juice and flavor. This year, I went for the grilled shrimp in a garlic white wine sauce with pasta, and it was equally bad. The shrimp was steamed, not grilled or even sautéed, and it had no taste at all. On the bright side, the wait staff was friendly and provided the only redeeming aspect of the evening. The venue itself was beautiful and festively decorated for the holiday season, which was a nice touch.

Just enjoyed the perfect Thanksgiving buffet! Absolutely delicious food. Lots of non-meat dishes to choose from as well, which I was very grateful for. Lovely atmosphere, very friendly staff. The atmosphere is fantastic. We enjoyed a 'family style' meal because of the event we were attending, but the food served in that format was of exceptional restaurant quality—comparable to the best places! The service was wonderful, and I want to extend a special thanks to Martha and the entire team for taking such great care of us. I can't wait to return as a regular customer.
