We had an incredible evening at Russell's fuelled by fire, incredible rustic pizza and young local wine. A complete surprise, we met an old friend here who was dining with a local family and were welcomed into the fray. Two hours later we had eaten well, drunk not yet labelled wine from local wineries and talked wine, family, arts, travel and just enjoyed every moment. Very special place with a true philosophy of food and enjoyment

This is a fantastic place to relax and unwind with friends. The beautiful old buildings mixed with rustic old sheds may look like a rough and tumble place but it adds to the charm of this eclectic pizza place. Of an evening there are woodfired pizza ovens churning out extraordinary pizzas and small fires keeping those eating outside warm. The pizzas are amazing and made from all local produce. The service too is very friendly and authentic. The whole place has a very community feel about it and there is no glitz or glam whatsoever. If you want to have amazing food and want to feel relaxed then this place has it all. Judging by the crowds it is extremely popular. They are only open 2-3 days a week and have no website.

Glad we booked on a Friday night. The restaurant was full and the atmosphere was just great. We sat outside and had the 3-course all you can eat Pizzas. Our group was large and they managed to have pizzas to please everyone. Finished off with a lovely dessert of either a chocolate Torte or a Strawberry tart. The only negative I had was that the anchovy pizza was very salty.

A family dinner with kids, they got to run around and we got to enjoy some great food! Beautiful relaxed atmosphere, super friendly staff Thanks!

Best in winter... but anytime is pretty good. Go early and eat whole food, locally grown and sometimes biodynamic.Delicious, simple and willunga is crazy beautiful.See the markets on Saturday... dried figs!Oh and autumn is magic with almond blossoms all around the steiner school.So good
