Írjon visszajelzéstFabulous. If you ask yourself if you should eat here, just do it. The humble exterior of this joint hides a jewel. Exquisites food with a fair price. Service and food that will take you to a distant European villa. If you are traveling in Europe, I am talking about real, actually small modern companies, not tourist traps. Buuut seriously, I think this guy is just a guy who moved his business from Italy to North Evanston and I can't recommend it enough. Thourough enjoyed eating here- eating here!
The Meatball Sandwich/panini here is fantastic. Extremely aromatic on garlic bread. The lateral caesar salad was also really good and the cryons on it are also top notch. The Minestrone Soup is just okay, a little watery, but it has a decent amount of vegetables in it. I'm trying to understand how they stay open. They are only open 4 hours a day for 28 hours a week and the few times I was here were dead. But something has to work here.
Great single size pizza. The sauce was surprisingly tangy, the sausage was flavorful and the crust was thin and crispy. Overall the lunch was perfect. Update 12/6/17. Pizza still awesome. Thin and crispy. Called during the lunch and no one answered the phone. Figured it was busy. Went there and place was nearly vacant and one person was handling the front end. Unfortunately, the customer care from this person was poor. No acknowledgement when I walked in.No thank you to the other customers when they left. A little attention and thanks would go along way. If the pizza wasn't so damn good, I'd never set foot in this place.
After reading the other reviews, we tried it. Food was great. This really should be the anchor for such a sad and empty town square. Although service was a bit slow for a completely empty restaurant, we found out why. There was a homeless man asking for handouts, and the owner gave him a pizza and pop. They were very nice and understanding of our rambunctious boys.
Best Pizza on North Shore for sure. The crust is super thin and tasty. Topping are amazing. Craft beers (sadly only in bottles)...but this place rocks. If you're in Wilmette, give them a shot for sure. Great staff and family owned too.
