Cakes By Kim - Wilmington

I ordered a birthday cake and picked it up from the bakery on my way home. Unfortunately, the cake layers were completely flat, with no height at all. The owners mentioned that their baker always bakes them this way, which was very disappointing. As a first-time customer, I was left unhappy and won’t be returning. For $140, I expected much better quality. It's not a good business practice.

We had our Birkenbaum Stump Wedding Cake made here, and it was fantastic. They were kind enough to accommodate my schedule, allowing me to pick it up even after I got caught in traffic due to an accident, just an hour before closing. We opted for a chocolate cake with cannoli filling, and it was absolutely delicious! (I made the flowers and the cakes myself.)

I've ordered two cakes from this place, and they are absolutely fantastic! The customer service is exceptional; they respond to emails promptly and even call to ensure that everything is perfect with your order. Even when I struggle to provide all the details, they find a way to assist me. The designs are consistently spot-on, and the quality of the cakes themselves is excellent. It's rare to find a bakery that excels in both design and taste, but these cakes are always moist and incredibly fresh. I will definitely continue to be a customer at Cakes from Kim!

They did a fantastic job with my wife's cake! I wanted something special, not the normal birthday cake. they did an amazing job and it also tasted super. could not have been happier!
