Denny's - Wilmington

Great food, great service! Since this is a newly opened operation, I understand that all these employees are brand new and newly trained. They have only been open for 2 weeks, but unlike the bad review that the Lord has given on the 3rd, my experience was wonderful.

We frequent Denny's while out of town to take advantage of Kids Eat Free. As far as Denny's go, this was the nicest one we've ever visited! It was clean and modern. There was even beer on tap! Our server was great and the food was satisfying.

We arrived here close to 12:50 AM and we were seated by our waiter, at that time we were the only people in that restaurant waiting to be served. Their was only one waiter on duty at that time. My dad and my mom had the Grand slam slugger, but as for me I had a bit of a hard time what I wanted but finally decided to have something close to what my parents had. So I decided to have the country fried steak with eggs and pancakes. My parents plates were fine but as for mine the country fried steak appeared to have more flour than steak and a bit too fried but as for sides they were good. One thing that me and my folks Really liked about was the quality of the texture of the pancakes, it appeared fluffy which was terrific. Nick the night manager which was on duty at that time is a nice man to talk to, Nick also helped out in bringing the food. Nick the manager is trying to find ways to improve the restaurant experience helpful. A thing we did not like about the Denny’s inside is that the interior walls is a bit too brownish which didn’t appear to look good with the yellow lamps. One thing that is good about this Denny’s is that the AC air doesn’t come to your face once your eating your food, it has plastic co we that pushes the air to a different direction.

My wife and I decided to visit here to get some grub. this would actually be our second visit. If you are into chain restaurants this is a decent one. I would compare this to a diner IHop kinda place, with the diner tidbit being they have a jukebox you can play your selection of music, and the IHOP feature would be that they serve breakfast all day(at least I think they do). LOCATION off College Rd really across from Buff Masters. THE FOOD They have a nice selection of food from a basic meal like eggs and toast to a full blown fully loaded omelette, burgers, and other sandwiches. MY ORDER I usually like to get a french toast combo, I decided to try one of their several specialty omelettes, in which includes making your own. So I ordered the sausage and pico de gallo omelette with tomatoes and onions. That came with some toast that was buttered with whipped smooth butter and a side of plain hash. EXPERIENCE Overall the food was great it really hit the spot the omelette I got was really stuff with all flavors and cheese and the toast was perfectly toasted and buttered. I downed all of it with a glass of Apple juice, my preferred choice of drink in the AM since orange juice is too acidic for me. If you like the mainstream dining atmosphere then give this place a shot if not then check out my other reviews of great dinning experience.

We had a gift card to here and I wasn 't really sure I wanted to go. I was SO pleasantly surprised! The egg white, veggie omelet is fantastic! The egg whites are cooked in water so nothing greasy! I couldn 't eat it fast enough! The veggies were still slightly crisp : zucchini, squash, spinach, mushrooms, and maybe onion too. So yummy! Also, a fresh fruit bowl and great coffee. Then of course we made life difficult for our poor busy server Christine who was fantastic! We loved the way the coffee cups we were using fit in our hand and wondered if they were for sale because of Christmas. Of course the ones they sell are bigger but they don 't have the same great handle. Still, the awesome owner sold us 5 of the coffee mugs we wanted anyway! I do believe this Denny 's has the customer service bit down pat as they say. I can 't wait to try the rest of their healthy options at Denny 's!
