Double Happiness Res - Wilmington

We tried this place on a whim because our favorite spot for Chinese take-out was closed. We did not regret it! The food and the customer service were both excellent. And don't let the strip mall location put you off. When you walk inside, the place has some lovely ambiance.

Excellent standard fare, great atmosphere. Clientele tend to be a bit relaxed, but we are a beach community. Typical Chinese family business, husband, wife, uncle, kids, all working tables or kitchen. We tend to purchase enough for two meals, so true cost is about $12 per dish.

I Loved the atmosphere and the people. Very friendly with an excellent choice of items on the menu. Very personalized interactions from Staff. Great place for celebratory events as you can get a private space.

I ordered some takeout online, choosing the double boiled pig and Mongolian beef with bok choy. The email notification stated my food would be ready at 5:36, but I arrived ten minutes early to find it already sitting on the counter. I recommend arriving earlier than the designated time to ensure you get your meal fresh from the kitchen. The double boiled pig was outstanding, and the Mongolian beef was enjoyable as well.

Every time I order from this restaurant, it has been amazing. I'm a huge fan of spicy food, and the Dry Wok Chicken always delivers. I recently placed an online order and requested, "Make it spicy, I want to cry." As tears (and sweat) streamed down my face, I can confidently say they nailed it! The flavors are always incredibly rich, and the quality is fantastic. I would definitely say the extra cost for a premium meal is worth it.
