Western Sizzlin Steak More - Wilson

Took my second oldest out to eat at Western Sizzlin in Wilson. We were going out to celebrate her Birthday and to have dinner because I just didn’t feel like cooking. I had buffet and so did my daughter. My son wanted hamburger steak which happens to be one of the kid’s favorite. The restaurant was full but not too full. My daughter asked my son to go up with her as she fixed her plate. I waited at the table. The waitress came over to me to re- examine my ticket claiming to double check to make sure I received the necessary discount. She then went on to say that my son who did not pay for buffet, had gone up to fix a plate. I assured her that he only went up with my daughter to assist her with hers. She was trying to go ahead and get what she wanted on two plates to avoid the extra trip. I started to get agitated but then I paused. I’m sure people come in for buffet and cheat by eating a steak and trying something on the buffet through someone else’s plate but It would have been beneficial to her if she had waited a moment before assuming to see if he had actually sat down and began eating from the buffet before she accused him. He walked back to the table and sat down waiting patiently for his food until his meal came. We had no problem paying for whatever we wanted. I just wish the waiter would have kindly observed the situation before she made her assumption. We ate, left a decent tip and talked about the situation on the way home. We felt liked she kept a watch on him to make sure he only ate from his plate. My son has anxiety issues and he really does not like eating out that much, he prefers being home. He enjoys the hamburger steak plain and dry. He asked that we not go out there to dine in again. If you are a waitress, learn when it is the best moment to assume your customer is taking advantage of a situation. Don’t just assume. Now as far as my family going out to dine again, we will think twice before allowing my son to assist anyone with carrying a plate to the table when he is not ordering buffet. Humbly submitted.. ,

This is a great place to eat. The steaks are always cooked right and you can really hurt yourself on the delicious buffet! We go once a month.

Whenever we travel to Wilson, NC, from Florida, stopping by Western Sizzlin is a family tradition. They offer an excellent food bar, delicious steaks, and a variety of options to satisfy every taste.

Deb waited on us 8 15 24 what a great job she did, and observing her covering probably 10 tables! Price for buffet fair abt. $15, place very clean, and the food was hot. Place was loaded at 3PM inside and in parking lot. They obviously have a lot of returning customers. I 'd highly recommend.

I haven't encountered one of these in years. The food selection isn't very extensive, but it's reasonable for the price.
