Írjon visszajelzéstDuring a tour of the New Forest, we stumbled upon The Lamb at Nomansland by chance. We initially only wanted a beer and a sandwich, but ended up being pleasantly surprised by the friendly service we received at the bar. The girl who greeted us was very engaging and helped us feel comfortable right away. We decided to order the Ham and Mustard baguette, which came with a side salad and the most delicious chips we've ever had. The server outside was also incredibly friendly. Overall, a lovely establishment with delightful staff. We would definitely return again.
A group of friends and I visited this restaurant and we all thoroughly enjoyed our meals. The chicken, ham hock, and leek pie was particularly delicious, and I heard that it is made in-house. I would definitely recommend it!
I went to this restaurant with my sisters to celebrate a birthday. Two of us ordered the fish and chips, but were disappointed that the fish was mostly batter. The third meal, pie and chips, was just okay. However, considering the high prices, we expected better quality. The drinks were also pricey, with a pint of Draught Coke costing £7.40. Overall, we were not impressed with our experience.
We met our friends at the pub which was their suggestion we visit. All four of us were delighted with the food and service -3 cottage pies with their ‘secret’ recipe and one lamb tagine. We all enjoyed our lunch and the only criticism is that we would have liked some green vegetables to accompany the cottage pie. Two of us had deserts which were also very good. A bottle of Merlot accompanied our meal. We finished with coffees. Bethany gave excellent happy service and the new manager, Dan, also looked after us. After starting our lunch at 12.30 we left at 3 pm after a super lunch on a wet day.
We went for a family Sunday lunch. We were shown to our table almost straight away and told someone would come over to take our drink order. We waited quite a while before this happened and then again waited almost 20 minutes in total before getting our drinks. We all ordered our Sunday roasts and these were brought out very quickly. We knew before going that the prices are on the high side but thought we’d give it a go so expectations were high. The roasts themselves are pretty basic and the veg is very minimal. A family of 4 adults had to share 2 tiny dishes of veg consisting of carrots, broccoli and cabbage. There was one piece of broccoli each, about a tablespoon of cabbage and a few carrots, didn’t really understand why more wasn’t offered. My husband asked for extra gravy which never turned up. Nobody came to ask if everything was ok or to see if anyone needed more drinks. My husband had to go to the bar mid meal to order another pint. You have to pay an extra £3.99 if you want extras including roasted parsnips, cauliflower cheese.. we ordered some parsnips, these were so disappointing, they were basically boiled! No colour on them at all and couldn’t taste any honey. Drinks are pretty expensive too, a pint of peroni costing £6.45 and a pint of lime and soda £3.00!! All in all a bit of a disappointment, a real shame as it’s a local pub to us.
