Pizza Express - Winchester

The food was excellent and reasonably priced. We enjoyed a 3-course meal for only $12.95, which was a great deal. However, the customer service could have been improved as the overall experience felt rushed, even though the restaurant wasn't very busy.

The meal was very enjoyable and being able to use Tesco vouchers made it a very affordable family dinner. We noticed that there were no cutlery on the table to begin with, so we had to request some when our food arrived. Additionally, there were no glasses on our table so we had to take some from a neighboring table. While I appreciate a leisurely dining experience, there were noticeable delays between courses, dessert selection, and receiving the bill. Despite these minor hiccups, our overall experience was positive.

We’d been to Cineworld, it was and chucking it down with rain so we ran into Pizza Express slightly damp and very hungry. The beaming waitress said we could pick where we wanted to sit because the place was practically empty. She returned promptly...and suggested that we may want to order drinks whilst we thought about what we wanted to eat. By the time she came back with our drinks we were ready to order. I think it only took about mins for our pizzas to arrive and as you can see from the pictures they were huge and tasty. When we’d finished (I couldn’t eat all of mine because I was stuffed) our chatty smiley waitress returned asking if we wanted to order desserts. We politely declined but asked if we could have my leftovers in a takeaway box. minutes later the bill was paid and my leftovers carefully placed in a pizza box. All round excellent service and fantastic food.

Pizza Express are all the same but this restaurant is a good one in this chain. Good service. Can get busy and then food service slows down, otherwise always good food and service.

You know what you're getting with Pizza Express, so can only comment on the service. All I will say is that the service needs to be improved here. The restaurant wasn't busy when we went in on the so there was no excuse for...the service being as bad as it was. It took half an hour to sort out our bill and when you have a tired toddler who wants to sleep, this ended up being far more stressful than it needed to be. We were visiting the area, so wouldn't return to that particular restaurant.
