The French Cafe Windermere

Adorable little cafe with homemade pastries and great customer service! Ellie in the front was super great and even brought me out some fresh milk for my tea!

I work from home, and this is one of my favorite places to hang out while working. I'm here so much that the owners and workers know me. I have tried a lot of items, and the different pastries are awesome. The pastries are freshly made daily. The AfricanSolstice tea is awesome. Everyone is super nice. Ask for Brittany who has become my chit chat friend. I talk to everyone so muchthat it feels like Cheers where everyone knows your name. They also have a location in Hamlin.

I truly wanted to give this café a better rating. The service was excellent, and the staff were friendly. The breakfast crepe was well-presented but lacked moisture and flavor. A touch of crème fraîche or lemon (or chive) butter would have really enhanced it. On the upside, the Nutella beignet was fantastic. The coffee was good, but it was a bit on the cold side. I know this may seem picky, but the forks were quite narrow, making it challenging to take more than a small bite at a time. However, I’m willing to give it another try since I’m in the area every week. I'm hoping my next visit will be an improvement over this one.

I was pleasantly surprised by this place. The coffee was excellent, and the pastries were even more remarkable. Everything tasted fresh, and the ingredients were of the highest quality. I will definitely be returning!

I had an excellent experience at this restaurant! The food was delicious, and the interior design was stunning. The staff was very friendly, too. Just to clarify, I’m not a friend or family member—I’m a first-time customer! I highly recommend this place!
