Sun Hong Bbq - Windsor

We just returned from a trip to China and Southeast Asia. We were craving the barbecue duck with the crispy skin so we tried this restaurant. There where six of us and we went through four ducks !They were cooked to perfection and I must say very delicious.The food was authentic and we will certainly return

A very authentic experience in the small China town section of Windsor. Great BBQ chicken, pork etc... for takeout or dine in. . A lot of great Szechuan favorites, beef, chicken etc... Extensive menu and many suggestions. Great service.

Windsor reviews seem to be raving 5 star or one star. I honestly dont get the raving reviews about this place but have nothing to complain about either.Service was good. The restaurant is nicer than others in the area. Since they have a BBQ takeout counter front and center I thought I was in for a treat and got the BBQ pork. It was OK but not anything great. It didnt seem fresh, rather rewarmed and a little dry. Half the pork you see in the photo. For the price its a decent value. Won Ton was the same Won Ton dumpling everyone in town has. Broth was good though with the bits of pork. Egg roll also the standard comes in a bad variety other restaurants have. Rice a little odd. Chicken fried rice with spouts in it. Soggy. However a fair amount of egg and chicken.Would I eat here again? Yes. Would I cross town because I just have to have that pork? No. For Windsor its pretty good. Windsor has many dumps and Chinese restaurants that simply serve sugar sauce over frozen entrees so in that sense this one is a winner. Again, no complaints just nothing to rave about either.

I've been to this restaurant a couple times now. We came with a group of people quite familiar with it and Chinese food in general. We shared several dishes and I found all of them quite delicious. I particularly enjoyed the noodle dishes we tried. I liked the vegetables, particularly the spicy garlic green beans and sauteed Chinese broccoli. The wait staff is friendly, helpful, and attentive.
