The Anchor Pub - Wingham

Was my "go to" place for yearsLately (like the last 5 years) food quality has taken a slide and service has taken a serious back seat.

Visited this pub a few years ago and went back because the food was good back then. We want to say it hasn't changed and the staff and food where worth the visit the second time.

We often travel to this pub for supper. It is pub fare with a good variety. We have tried many of their selections and have always been pleased. Their French fries we find to be the best around. Their alcohol beverage selection is good as are their desserts. Service is very good and the servers are friendly and efficient. It is a pub so at times it can be quite noisy. There are tv's to watch sports.

They have about 20 different kinds of wing sauces and rubs. I had 9 wings and that was plenty enough for me. My kids and I ate here for about $40. Not much more than say Subway for instance. Service was friendly and prompt. Will be back.

We enjoyed good food with friendly service. Large selection of fresh food. Helpful staff. I will return if I am in the area again.
