Smitty's Restaurant - Winkler

I went to the restaurant for breakfast/brunch with a companion. I ordered a half portion of Eggs Benedict from the "sunrise menu" and it arrived promptly and was absolutely delicious.

I love the ambiance of this restaurant. The food is fantastic, especially their specials. I am a regular customer here and I especially enjoy their Monday night promotion where you can get two appetizers for the price of one. The decor is modern and the restaurant is always clean.

I was disappointed in the service here. The food was okay...but the wait was horrible. I had to ask for refills of coffee both for my table and another table beside me. I understand if the kitchen is overwhelmed, but at least make certain your patrons have beverages while they wait. The servers spent too much time talking to each other.

My family of three adults and two children had a great lunch at this restaurant. We are staying at the nearby Days Inn so we brought our leftovers back to the hotel. My granddaughter wanted to have her pancakes for dinner and to my delight, the staff had included a small container of syrup and butter for her. We travel frequently and this was the first time we received these thoughtful extras. We will be staying here for four more days and will definitely be returning to the restaurant. Thank you.

I always like my meals at winkler smittys, but the booths are so run down you are literally leaning on exposed foam . The table tops are scratched and chipped. I'd think considering the prices they charge and upgrade would be in order.We now get breakfast at country kitchen which is new and nice and clean.
