Chaise Cafe - Winnipeg

Had a wonderful dinner here last evening: Lamb ravioli with grilled green tomatoes and zucchini; palate rejuvenation from a carmenere cab sauvignon.

The food is delicious and the owner is extremely friendly.

We rented out the private dining room upstairs for a bachelorette party.

I went there twice for dinner and once for brunch. They have a normal menu too but I chose the vegan menu everytime, which is all you can eat style . It starts with a salad as a starter and the main course are 2 slices of pizza and 2 pasta dishes. It's delicious and really flavorfull. The dishes change all the time. The risotto balls which come with the starter are my favorite. It's a bit expensive but if you live there it's worth it to buy a membership card for one year. Everything is half the price then. I’ve had lunch for one, dinner for two, and a huge extended family dinner at Chaise, and every experience has been delicious. Chaise continues to improve each time I go, probably because they welcome feedback and really make an effort to do vegan dishes well. Mushroom risotto is wonderful.
