Pheasant Run Pub Grill - Winterset

We were in town for a music festival, and randomly stopped by for a drink on a Saturday night. Cold beer, great staff (no BS! , free nachos and pool . . . and then karaoke started. The locals showed up . . . and our one beer turned into a heck of a fun night.

Great place to drink. Friendly atmosphere. Would recommend to everyone.

This is a great small place first locals looking for an early night out. Great, friendly staff, great drinks and relaxed surroundings. Only drawback is that karaoke closed at weekends by 10:15 and closes bar service at 10:30... On a Saturday night. I know it's a small town, but really early for an adult facility to shut down.

I walked in a sunny night, why I wasn't in Iowa. But I wanted to get out, but after a drink, of course. Someone I could only accept, the owner had gone to me and asked me if he was Fartin? I was shocked he was so forward, but I didn't lie. It's Fart, it's a lot. So I told him Oh, it's far enough, big boy. The subtle Smirk who smashed this man's face told me everything I need to know. This man certainly wanted to turn my intestine into mintmeat. Good beer.

Bartender was great Wednesday night, would have offered pizza or more for dinner, beer was good and cold. Pool tables were dirty. But bartender made it tolerable.
