Bob Annes North - Winthrop Harbor

It was a convenient spot, but the staff wasn't very friendly. In addition to tipping your server for good service, they had a huge jar at the register for tips for the cook. Really? It's disappointing that this location didn't live up to the great experience at the main Bob and Anne's.

I really enjoyed my experience there and the waitress was fantastic. I'm sad to see it go. I'm not sure if the new owner will be as great.

The busboy even had to give me his name, and Stanley said he didn't care if I ever came back. Who speaks like that? We used to love this place and had favorite servers who treated us and our son well. This incident has completely soured my view of the restaurant, and I won’t be returning or recommending it to anyone, despite its previous reputation. I plan to call the owner tomorrow because Stanley needs to go—he should retire or work somewhere where poor customer service is the norm, like the DMV. What a disappointment this was. Bob and Anne's, this guy is damaging your reputation.

This is an excellent breakfast place. The service is quick, and the food is delicious. I highly recommend the steak and eggs; it's a generous portion at a pretty good price—just under $10 for a nice cut of steak, two eggs, toast, and hash browns. It's both fast and convenient. The coffee is also quite good, scoring an 8 out of 10!

I love coming here, food and atmosphere is fantastic and whenever I'm in town, I have to dine here.
