The Pheasant Bar, Restaurant

We had a large family dinner before a wedding with a party of 17, which can be tough to accommodate at restaurants. However, the team at the Pheasant managed to set aside a lovely area for all of us. Everyone enjoyed their starters and main courses, including options for special dietary needs. The food was excellent, and considering our group size, we weren't kept waiting more than a few minutes to be served. That was truly impressive. My compliments to the chef! The service was also very good, making for an overall great dining experience. Well done, team!

Even after the EU thrown away the UK using a high power Chinese electric heater inside the shower is not only illegal but is very dangerous. The most insalubrious place I've ever seen. Not to mention the 15th century sink.

To top it off, the host offered us complimentary breakfast for our entire stay due to the mix-up, which I thought was outstanding service! The breakfast itself was wonderful—everything was freshly cooked, and the ingredients, including the sausage and bacon, were clearly sourced from a local butcher. I highly recommend staying here, and we will definitely be returning on our next trip down south.

The rooms are outdated, and the bathroom is in poor condition and needs to be replaced. There were no toiletries provided for the second night, and only one tea bag, coffee, and sugar were provided each, which wasn't sufficient. However, the food was excellent for both dinner and breakfast, and the staff were pleasant.

Club sandwich was absolutely amazing, however starters (pâté blue cheese creme brulé not nice at all. Very run down inside, not warm or welcoming! Unfortunately I won't be returning!
