A Hidden Gem We absolutely love this hotel!!! After a long cold day, you walk through this beautiful hotel, with little touches of fascinating history placed perfectly, into a toasty room with a huge deep bath and lovely smelling toiletries, what more could a girl ask for, just perfect!
Lovely old building with car park. Welcoming on arrival and room was clean and had everything we needed (including a chocolate bar! Really helpful owner and great access to the town and concert spaces. Will definitely stay again...thank you.
It's an old house so yes, it's creaky, but the decor is beautifully quirky. We travelled as a group, so we had 5 rooms, which were all different but all spotlessly clean. The beds were really comfy and each room had a private bathroom. There was a sign that said they were in the process of renovating the rooms, which I would agree is due. The hotel was an absolute bargain, and the staff were friendly and on-site 24 hours. It's a key card entry system to the building and rooms so you can come and go as you please. All in all, I thought it was an absolute steal at less than £50 a night. I would most definitely return if I was in the area again. Cheap, cheerful, really clean, good amount of parking and although I didn't partake, I heard from my fellow travellers that the breakfast was good. We visited for a wedding at a local venue, so I cannot comment on its location or attractions/activities nearby.
Quirky Arts and Crafts era hotel in good location for kk steel mill venue . Great value for money with private car park
