Írjon visszajelzéstI'm not a big fan of filipino food so I didn't have high expectations for this place. I was happy to be wrong. Everything is fresh andmade to order. Ambience is chill and waiters are super pleasent. A hidden gem in cebu
Best scallops in town hand down! and the grilled food here are very deliciously marinated to perfection giving me the true comfort filipino food vibes only here in yayoys grill.
The place itself is pretty homey..nothing fancy but the satisfaction is here when it comes to havin that filipino food craving..a bucket of shrimp for P280 is already good for 2. Their calamares is only P140 If i recall it right and tastes so good. Food is way better than stk..much cheaper too.
Been to this place many many times and is the humble number one for me when it comes to food satisfaction. Definitely not for social climbers who rate places for the amount of instagrammable decorations or facebookable-looking food. But for real hands down FOOD lovers irregardless of appearance, oh this place is gold. Correction: The name is YAYOY 'S. I would daresay the famous and crowded STK next to this restaurant is very overrated and over-commercialized; while YAYOY 'S IS WHERE THE REAL DEAL IS, food quality-wise. Very few people know this; almost a best kept secret. Food: If you are the type who loves true blue home-cooked Filipino meals, as if your very own loving mom or doting grandmother made it for you with no holds barred on ingredients and servings, then you will never want to eat in any other Filipino restaurant after you 've tried this place. Imagine paying only Php 150, expecting a small sufficient amount, but get served a laaarge bowl of soup that can feed a family of 5. And mind you, that soup is not just liquid. Even a soup of larang head , has so much fish-head meat to last you for a whole day. And this is just one example. The humble waiters tell you that a certain dish is good for two , but when they serve it, OMG it 's good for a family. Favorites: Buwad rice, Crab rice, Seafood Monggo, Ginabot, Baked Scallops, Sizzling Squid, Larang, Sinigang, and their Crispy Kare-Kare!! Total comfort food at its homiest, finest, yummiest, and humblest. Place: Location is very accessible, with moderate parking space. General dining area is non-airconditioned, no specifications for smoking or non-smoking sections. Another downside is the tendency to get bitten by mosquitoes, but the large fans take care of that. They only have 1 airconditioned room for privacy, (probably a 10-12 seater table? . Not for romantic sosyal dates, but a hearty one for solid foodie couples. Service: Waiters seem to be non-professional (NOTE: different from unprofessional , but they have heart, and they serve well. Expect to wait a while, about 15-20 mins for food to be served. DO NOT WHINE about this because your satisfaction will absolutely be guaranteed when you get it. After all, truly sumptuous meals are done right. Not magic, not instant. We see many VIPs and politicians come here, in their comfy slippers and unassuming demeanor. I presume this place is as homey for them as I see it myself.
