While I wouldn't say it's the best thing I've ever had, I did enjoy my simple Mexican bowl with steak. The portion size was generous - they actually give you enough for 2 full burritos, so you get more bang for your buck. The menu has a variety of options that are worth trying. This was my first visit, and I must say that for a fast food joint, they exceeded my expectations. I would rate it higher than your average Chipotle, Pollo Loco, Taco Bell, or Del Taco.
The food at this restaurant was really good, but the service left much to be desired. I paid for my food when I placed my order, including a tip to ensure fast service, but my order ended up sitting on a car in the back while other customers who arrived after me were served first.
I ordered a 2 duck dinner with beans and rice. I chose 1 cheese Enchilada and 1 Chile Relleno, both of which were well-prepared and tasted delicious. I particularly enjoyed the cheese Enchilada. Additionally, you have the option to substitute the rice and beans for a salad if preferred. I would definitely return to try something else as they offer a decent selection of vegetarian options. The Salsa Bar was also fantastic!
Honestly, I love her food and has been a customer for over 20 years, so that this review has nothing to do with it. 12 days ago I ordered pickup (2 chicken tacos combo) and when I came home and took a bite, I found out they were beef. I don't eat beef. I explained this and they told me to come back, but I live too far (he showed it on his way home from work to home), so I asked if I could get a loan next time. She said yes and took my name, but she said they had a policy that you had to come back in two weeks. This is ridiculous, and I thought about saying that, but it is not the fault of this worker who the company has this (possibly illegal, but definitely unethical) policy. So yes, 12 days later (which is less than two weeks), I call back and tell the woman who is about what happened, she puts me in the grip and then comes back to say it must be in the last two weeks because there is no record of it. I'll tell her it was 12 days ago. She said no, probably not. I said it was and I got the record last time I called my phone. She said no, she can't do anything because it was more than 2 weeks. I don't know if she was the manager or a worker or anyone. It's not her policy. I understand. So my question is with the company Jaramillo Enterprises (I actually know that because my first job was ever like Sierra's when I was a teenager), who obviously think it's okay to have a policy that essentially steals money from their customers. I couldn't eat these tacos. There was no one to give them because nobody in my house eats beef. They went to the garbage and I ate beans and rice for dinner. To set a time limit when you make it right with a customer is not okay. It is hard here for most people, and to expect their hard earned money to expire in 2 weeks when it is the fault of the restaurant is money dubbing and unethical.
This is a fast food restaurant that thinks it's upscale. Our food was served hot on ceramic plates, and there was plenty of it. We took home leftovers for another lunch during the week. We both got chili relleños, which were very good. Mission Burrito is not close to us, but we will definitely go back.
