Iguana's Mexican Grill - Woodland

The best Mexican food in California! Their specialty, the quesabirria with tomatillo sauce, is simply fantastic. This is a must-try when visiting Woodland, CA.

The birria tacos, enchilada plate, and shrimp fajitas are fantastic! It took only about 10-15 minutes for our order to be ready, and then we were on our way.

For instance, if you want chips and salsa, you have to ask for them (and definitely try the green salsa). They also have an amazing red salsa that pairs perfectly with the quesabirrias and consomé, but lately, we've had to remind them to include it in our orders, along with limes—because you can’t enjoy consomé without limes! On one occasion, we went to the park with our food, only to discover that our two consomés were missing from the bag, along with napkins and utensils. While I understand these are small details that can easily be overlooked, it’s the little things that matter most in creating a great dining experience. If you know certain toppings or sides should be included, please make it a point to add them every time!

So Well Balanced! I ordered the Fajita Quesadilla and a shrimp taco. It was the best take out food I had in the last 3 months! All ingredients were fresh and high quality. It was very vibrant and enjoyable!! I paired it with a glass Coca-Cola bottle and was truly satisfied.

I've never been much of a fan of Mexican food until I tried this place, which is conveniently located right across the street from my son's house. After my first visit, I ended up eating there four times in a row! I highly recommend the fish tacos!
