Salsa Grill - Woodlawn

I ordered a taco salad to go. After 20 minutes, I asked about my order. Turns out, it was never turned in. No apologies. I had already tipped. I hadn’t been in years and will NEVER go back.

Eaten here multiple times and always satisfied. From Baby Back Ribs, to Calf Liver, Cat Fish, and desserts , all good!! Daily specials are always interesting. Never k ow what they'll be featuring, yet tempted to try. Looks small when you first walk in, but walk towards rear and dinning room opens up. The waitresses are very attentive and accommodating. The chefs interact with guests about the food (its presentation and taste). Two kitchens ensure fast service. The kitchen and the bathroom are pretty clean. Very cozy lil spot! I'm sure to be there, again. Update: Went there again!!! Got Pescada Frito (Fried Fish) and Cheese Cake. It was goood!!

Found this restaurant by chance as we are trying to find a place open at 4 pm on a Saturday. Glad that we chose this place. As you enter the restaurant, the beautiful plants will welcome you,and then inside the walls are resplendent with gorgeous paintings by local artist Leigh Grohe. We ordered Caribbean paella and Lamb chops with crab cakes. Both items were good, but I would love a little more flavor in Paella. The sides( came with lamb chops) of potatoes and green beans were superb though. They surprised us with 2 chocolate covered strawberries. Overall nice experience. Have to visit again to try other items.

Everything on the menu is outstanding! Just go and order the Caribbean Paella and you will hunger for more, and more, and more!
