The Tilbury Hotel - Woolloomooloo

Great service, really nice ambiance and excellent food. The Sunday roast special was outstanding as were other options like fish and pasta. Deserts worth leave space for too.

I ate here on a Friday evening with my wife and son. The decor is fresh and as per my review title we enjoyed the food, wine and service. However, it was a bit a noisy. I know it's a pub and it was a Friday night but the wooden floors and the absence of a wall between the dining room and the walkway to the toilets and outdoor area meant that it was louder than I would have liked. That said, the menu has a good variety to choose from, my mushroom starter was delicious and the wine list offers a good reasonably priced range of wines by the glass. I would return but would ask not to be seated near the toilets.

Stayed 2 nights in Woolloomooloo recently and had a light lunch one day at Tilbury and went back for a beautiful dinner the next. Service and food were excellent not to mention great ambience!

A nice fit out incl outdoor seating and courtyard. Visiting with friends for a few hours on Monday afternoon of the Queen's Birthday long weekend. Our barmaid (from lunchtime until mid/late afternoon) was excellent - friendly, personable, attentive, and whilst the only barmaid at the downstairs bar acknowledged all customers and attended as quickly as she could. Unfortunately chalk-and-cheese compared to the barmaid who took over as we were about to leave (who was the exact opposite).

Situated close to the water in Wolloomoolloo, Sydney, this is an established pub that has undergone a very nice renovation. Seating outside, inside, out the back in a courtyard plus a terrace so very spacious.There is also a restaurant and a lighter "bar" menu. The drinks here are very expensive and the major reason why I would not be tempted to return. $4 for a glass of soft drink from a gun is daylight robbery. The wines, while of decent quality start at around $50 a bottle. The food menu in the bar is more a snack menu and averages $15 a serve.There is street parking available.
