Olde Jaol Restaurant - Wooster

The service at this restaurant was absolutely terrible. Our reservation was not honored, and our table was not ready. We were seated in a dark, undesirable booth in the bar area. After sitting in the dark for 25 minutes, I requested to speak to a manager. It took 10 minutes for the manager to arrive and another 10 minutes for a waiter to show up. The waiter was unhelpful and seemed unaware of the menu. We ultimately decided to leave and go to another restaurant in City Square. The restaurant was also very dirty, with the bar area filled with dirty glasses. I will never dine here again. The service, cleanliness, and wait staff were all subpar, with a lack of adequate management. It's unfortunate that such a beautiful building with potential was a disappointment. The management should be replaced and the staff properly trained.

The service at this restaurant is fantastic and the food is delicious. The staff goes above and beyond to ensure your satisfaction with both the food and your overall dining experience. We will definitely be returning in the future!

I had my girl out for a nice quiet dinning experience. We were seated right away at a very nice quiet table. Our waiter Dave was outstanding, his wine and dinner recommendations were perfect. The desert tray options we loved. Thank You Ol Jail for your part in a perfect date. Highly Recommend!

I have dined at this restaurant several times and the food is good. However, I had a disappointing experience when I booked a table for 7 a week in advance for my parents' 56th wedding anniversary. Despite giving plenty of notice and receiving confirmation the day before, the owner gave our table away to friends who walked in without reservations. The excuse given was "this sometimes happens," which was very poorly handled. The servers were also visibly frustrated. We were eventually seated in a different room with dirty glasses that had to be replaced. Our meal took 3 hours to complete due to waiting. Thankfully, our server Dave was fantastic and saved the experience with his personality and friendliness. If it weren't for him, we would have left. Unfortunately, due to the owner's actions, I am unlikely to return to this restaurant.

Great food! The building was very nice! We will definitely be back!
