Palm Room - Wrightsville Beach

The live music was fantastic, and the crowd was lively. We had to wait a little while for our drinks, but considering how busy they were, it was understandable.

I've enjoyed many fantastic bands at this little dive bar, which has been a local favorite since it opened in 1968.

This is an excellent spot to enjoy fantastic bands while sipping on delicious beers by the beach!

We had our wedding welcome party at The Palm Room and it was AWESOME! The owners, Kat and Kurt, were great to work with and the bar service was incredible (2 bartenders and a barback for ~150 people! . It was an unforgettable night and truly a way to welcome people to the island!

I visited the restaurant for the first time a few weekends ago to catch Audiomelt perform. After showing my ID and paying the cover charge at the door, I headed to the bar for a drink. Even though it wasn’t crowded, I waited about 10 minutes. The bartender, a middle-aged brunette woman, approached me. When I ordered a beer, she looked me up and down and asked for my ID again. I was puzzled since I had already shown it to get in, but I handed it to her. She scrutinized it closely, kept looking back at me, and rolled her eyes, saying, "I'm sorry, you look 12 years old." There was no friendliness in her tone, just a rather unpleasant attitude. I mentioned how rude that was, and she simply apologized again, reiterating that I look young. While it's true that I often get mistaken for being younger than I am, her reaction was uncalled for. She also mentioned keeping my tab open but ended up closing it anyway. Overall, I might return in the future, but certainly not when she is working.
