La Estacion - Yaiza

This is a small cafe on as part of a petrol station. To look at it you would not look twice. Let me tell you, it has the best sandwiches for many a mile and at very good prices. Good selection to choice from, freshly made, sit in or take out. We normally stop on our way to playa Blanca. Give it a try, orange gather on your right just before the roundabout to turn off the Femés. Coffee is pretty good as well

On way to a meeting in playa Blanca from Costa Calero, too early for breakfast at the hotel. Spotted this amazing cafe in the petrol station. We thought we'd grab a coffee and a donut how wrong could we be. The chef showed us a freshly cooked leg of pork and suggested a bocadillo with the pork and local cheese. I can say without hesitation it's the best breakfast in my whole stay in Lanzarote. So even although it's primarily a cafe in a garage we intend to come back to sample the tapas too. It's spotless, nicely decorated and the staff are wonderful. What a delightful start to the day!
