Írjon visszajelzéstNot what it used to be. Been come for 10 years with large family groups, but the last few times the quality was just not there. And after a nice discussion with Louie the owners in which he questioned my mother's family heritage instead of an inedible, $25 Takeout Pasta dish filled with disgusting burned garlic... I tried it again. Take me, be ashamed. Two times? Yeah, I'm not going back. And suggest you skip too.
Wonderful staff, attentive and polite. Food is very good. Parking is limited, early dinner is preferable. Restaurant is clean and spacious. Best days to visit Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday to avoid crowds and wait time. Good value for the money large portions.
Went here for 1st time. I will day from the moment you sat down the service was impeccable. The food was very good. I had a chicken scarpariello. It had great flavor and was spicy but not overbearing. My sons meatball raviolis were excellent. Interior is very nice and warm. Parking can be a little difficult as it's right on corner of Yonkers Ave. The staff was A#1. I don't think I have seen as well a restaurant as far as timing of food coming out waiting to order. I even complemented the owner they were that good.
It's always a pleasure to eat Louie Johnnie's. I was here a few times for birthdays and the food and service never disappointed! Of course, I recommend starting with the roasted Calamari and garlic bread with melted cheese. *drool* The last time I was here, I had the NY shell steak, medium rare, with mushrooms. Finally, the dessert special was the banana pudding cake. Ask him! Maybe they have it when you're here.
The food was a bit expensive, but the quality of food and drinks are excellent. Waiting staff are warm and ready when you are ready to order, or if you want a proposal from the menu. Steak I ordered exactly what I ordered, cooked to perfection. Coconut shrimp as an appetizer amazing, with the jam it comes with perfect combination. FYI marmalade is delicious but scorching hot, (not spices) even if you let it sit for a bit.
